TOURISM SECRETARY, TELANGANA OFFERS FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO TOUR AND TRAVEL OPERATORS TO PROMOTE THE STATE’S TOURISM POTENTIAL AT PHD CHAMBER
 

Secretary, Department of Youth Advancement, Tourism, & Culture, Government of Telangana, Mr. B. Venkatesham on Friday offered financial support to potential and perspective tour and travel operators that are willing to undertake massive promotional campaign to promote Telangana as one of the lead tourism spots in the country.
 

Addressing an interactive session on Opportunities for Tourism Industry in Telangana under aegis of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry here today, Mr. Venkatesham reiterated the resolve of the state government to make it one of the most handsome investment attracting states in the country also disclosing that it will spend huge amount of money to undertake massive aforestation drive so that its temperature stays cooler and conducive so as to retain the interest of investors in it.
 

He called upon the tour and travel operators no to delay their arrival in Hyderabad which is the Capital city of the newly carved out State as also the hubs centre of tourism as the state has decided to extend handsome promotional premium in terms of subsidies and concessional finances to undertake the task of promoting the state for tourism in particular and investment attraction in general.
 

Mr. Venkatesham said that in the forthcoming SURAJKUND MELA, scheduled for February 2016, the state of Telangana has been given the status of partnership to showcase its all strength and it would be celebrating the year 2017 as the year of Telangana visit so that tourist promotion is undertaken at a massive level and Telangana is put prominently on the tourism map of not only India but for rest of the globe also.
 

This is because the state has such potential as has not been either discovered or explored in the past when it was part of United Andhra and even before for variety of reasons, added Mr. Venkatesham.
 

Mr. Debjit Talapatra, Director, PHD Chamber; Co-Chairman, Insurance Committee, PHD Chamber, Mr. S K Sethi; President, Indian Association of Tour Operators, Mr. Subhash Goel; President, Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India, Mr. Jyoti Kapur; World Renowned Dance exponents Ms. Radha Reddy and Ms. Kaushalya Reddy were among others who welcomed Mr. Venkatesham announcing financial support for those that accepted the task of engaging with the promotional campaign of Telangana government.
