If there’s no democracy, there’s no hope: Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi

Hon’ble Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mr. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the inclusive growth and development with dignity of all sections, including minorities, is the priority of the Modi government.

Addressing the 114th Annual Session of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, said, “Development without discrimination and empowerment without appeasement, this is how we have progressed as a government under the potential leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji.”

He further added, “There were a lot of hardships faced by India and its citizens before Modi government came to the power. We believe in the vision that if there’s no democracy, there’s no hope. Back in 2014, when we came into the power, we promised three things – corruption free India; development for all without any discrimination of caste, race, gender; and no compromise on terrorism. Historic and bold reforms taken by the government and a people-friendly system are the guarantee of a strong India. Today development has become the national agenda and every person in the country is contributing to it.”

Welcoming Mr. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Mr. Rajeev Talwar, President PHD Chamber, said, “I appreciate and acknowledge the work done by Mr. Naqvi in his domain. Despite various global challenges, the government has ensured that inflation rate stays low and there is no shortage of any commodity. We must use this opportunity to grow our economy.”

In his welcome remarks Dr. D K Agarwal, Senior Vice President, PHD Chamber, said, “If India as a whole becomes prosperous but the citizens do not, then it has no meaning. Therefore, people have to become prosperous and we are very positive that India will emerge as an economic power. But we must also ensure that the fruits of progress reaches every Indian.”

Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, Vice President, PHD Chamber, thanked Mr Naqvi for outlining a progressive path for India.
