PHDCCI is the Programme Directorate for the Startup 20 Engagement Group under the India G20 Presidency. The Startup 20 Engagement Group, initiated under India’s Presidency, aspires to create a global narrative for supporting Startups and enabling synergies between Startups, corporations, investors, innovation agencies and other key ecosystem stakeholders. India’s own Startup ecosystem is today the third largest in the world with 108 unicorns, more than 83,000 registered Startups, and an ever-expanding innovation ecosystem to support them.

 

Startup20 India will host a series of discussions and policy advocacy forums, across India, covering the identified Startup priorities & challenges, with the aim to realize the Startup20 strategic vision and translating it into concrete and actionable policy recommendations that will be a part of India’s official policy communique for G20

The events will start with the Inception Meeting at Hyderabad on 28-29 January 2023 and conclude with the Main Summit on at Gurugram on 3-4 July 2023, with side events in Gangtok, Port Blair and Bengaluru. An extensive Startup showcase to exhibit India’s Startup ecosystem to the world will be a major part of the activities. 

 

There are 3 Taskforces under Startup20: Foundations and Alliances, Finance, and Inclusiveness and Sustainability.
