PHDCCI to organize Virtual National Roads & Highways Summit with Shri Nitin Gadkari as Chief Guest

Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India will be the Chief Guest at PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI)’s event on “Virtual National Roads & Highways Summit’ on March 24, 2021, at 11 AM on a virtual platform.

The summit will focus on Green Infrastructure that is “Development without Destruction” and “faster execution with rigorous compliance” to realize the vision of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.

Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry mentioned that Green Infrastructure help integrating transportation functionality with ecological sustainability which will lead to a reduction in greenhouse gases, emissions/carbon footprint, curtailment in the use of non-renewable energy sources, conservation of natural resources and ensuring human health and safety, along with the welfare of future generations.

Large-scale environmental degradation and climate change combined with the loss of natural resources and increasing construction has contributed to the growing need for green highways in the country. We are happy that Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India will be gracing us with his presence and his deliberations will help the industry to adapt towards green infrastructure, said Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal.

The summit will showcase and discuss various aspects of the latest developments shaping this vital sector and also learn about the opportunities and new emerging technologies for the growth of the industry- via national and international collaborations ensuring economic development in the country by ecological sustainability
