The 3-day Summit which will commence from 15 of February slated to be held at IIHM, Ganaur, Sonepat, Haryana will have key functionaries, representing the State as well industry leaders and experts from the relevant sectors to make the Summit absolutely conclusive in its intended objectives in which the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry would be largely represented by its Office Bearers such as its President, Sr. Vice President and Vice President including Secretary General, Dr Mahesh Y Reddy.

The objective of the Summit is to provide a platform to a large number of progressive farmers, FPOs, agri input and agri-produce processing industry, from the state and across the country for interaction with policymakers, scientists and technologists with overall objectives of increasing the income and quality of life of the farmers and attract investment in agro-related industry in the State.

Secretary General, PHD Chamber, Dr Mahesh Y Reddy in his observations pointed out that the Chamber since has already partnered in Haryana’s first Agri Leadership Summit-2015 and subsequently with its growing relationship with Government of Haryana is likely to suggest the State by way of intensive consultations the key industry players as well owners of technologies and up-skill in agri, horti and livestock sector so that the intended objectives of such Summit are achieved.

“Not only the productivity and yield of the identified sectors would increase and enhance through such institutional arrangements between Haryana and PHD Chamber but also lead to creation of additional employment as well fuel growth of agriculture and its allied sectors since these initiatives would inspire entrepreneurship and attract Agri Start-Ups in the State”, added Dr Reddy.

It is also explained that since Haryana has already taken a lead in the agriculture sector and is one of the significant contributors to feed the nation as well also contribute to its agri and horti exports significantly, Summit such as this would help Haryana upgrade and retain its leading position in the sector. As the same time, it would also motivate the women participation in emerging agri landscape as women in the state are equally enterprising and the government would want their participation to multiply manifold.
