Ground Breaking of Centre of Excellence in green hydrogen at PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry to serve MSME sector.
2 years ago, our Hon’ble Prime Minister made a clarion call from the Red Fort, India would be a leading nation to produce Green Hydrogen to meet its energy requirement, but would also be an export hub due to its intrinsic advantage to produce Green Hydrogen at a cheapest cost.
PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry is the only chamber in the country serving the interest of the MSME sector. The MSME sector contributes significantly to India’s GDP.
PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry is the first chamber in the country to host two International Climate Summit. First summit was hosted in September 2021 at New Delhi, in which titans of industries, policy makers, nobel laureates and International companies participated. The key takeaways from the summit were submitted to our Government for their due consideration.
Second summit was hosted at Bergen, Norway on 30th and 31st August to showcase India to the world about the opportunities, which India offers to produce the cheapest source of Hydrogen in the world. The summit has been a grand success and the key takeaways from the summit was again submitted to the Government. There were a participation of 70 industries from India led by PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry for ICS 2022 at Bergen, Norway.
In the last, two knowledge books i.e. Self Reliant India- Harnessing the Power of Hydrogen and India is an Attractive Destination For Green Hydrogen- A Way Forward have been authored by PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
During the last two years, lots of Industries from MSME sector have shown their interest to set up some business opportunities in Green Hydrogen. In view of this, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry has again taken a lead to set up full-fledged Centre of Excellence at its Headquarter at New Delhi. The core areas of the COE would be but not limited to:
- Training/ Workshop;
- Best International practices;
- Standards and regulations;
- Safety;
- Technology tie up;
- Consultancy;
- Data Bank;
- Accident Audit etc.
To support this centre, Greenstat Hydrogen India Pvt. Ltd. has joined, as a knowledge partner. Greenstat has more than 100 years of knowledge in Hydrogen, production, storage, transportation and end use application.
Greenstat is also a leader in providing safety studies using 3D modeling. This Centre will be a unique centre of its kind in the country. Also centre will be seeking knowledge support from other International Companies expert in Green Hydrogen areas.
To be the first, Green Hydrogen, to serve MSME Sector is an extremely important step of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry but this is a giant leap forward for our nation, from the energy security and decarbonization point of view.
