PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry inaugurates its state office in Kochi, Kerala on 23rd November, 2019 in the presence of Shri Hibi Eden, Member of Parliament Lok Sabha
PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry inaugurated its first office in Southern India at Kochi, Kerala in a bid to serve a section of India Inc. in general and particularly its MSMEs segment to take their causes and concerns with lawmakers both at Southern part of the country as well the Centre.
Shri Hibi Eden, Member of Parliament Lok Sabha, while inaugurating the PHDCCI office congratulated and appreciated the extensive work done by PHD Chamber for the economic growth and development of the Indian economy, here today.
Dr D K Aggarwal, President PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that with PHDCCI having its physical presence, through the Kochi office, in Southern peninsula, it will be able to serve the industry very effectively with undertaking policy advocacy role for its constituents in general and MSMEs in particular, for the Chamber is known to representing this sector for many decades and flagging off their concerns with the respective departments and regulators and seeking suitable and adequate solutions for their cause, here today.
PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a forward looking, proactive and dynamic pan-India apex organization working as a catalyst for the promotion of Indian industry, trade and entrepreneurship for the past 115 years, at the inaugural function of the Kochi Branch of PHDCCI, said Dr aggarwal.
Mr E V Shiril, Chair Kerala State Chapter, PHDCCI said that the growth of the trade and businesses – existing and new will be our focus and objective. With offices in more than 15 Indian states, a dedicated office in Kochi, Kerala is another feather in the Chamber’s hat and a step towards further strengthening its roots in across the country and extend its reach to the southern part of India, he added.
Mr Vivek Seigell, Principal Director, PHD Chamber said that we are very optimistic and excited to be here to contribute the economy of God’s Own Country and creating international linkages.
The Chamber is of the view that Kerala is one State which has a great potential for its industrial expansion in host of areas and the Chamber will sensitize the industry in Kerala for its effective participation and creating economic activities with prospects of job creation by way of main streaming it with the rest of India Inc.
