80,000 people will get employment from 10500 units – Horticulture and Food Processing Minister Madhya Pradesh Shri Bharat Singh Kushwaha in a conference organized by PHDCCI MP & MP State Agro Development Corporation Ltd.

Development of farmer is necessary to make self-reliant India and self-reliant Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is the leading state in food processing, this is stated by Shri Bharat Singh Kushwah, Minister for Horticulture and Food Processing Govt of Madhya Pradesh,in a conference organized by Madhya Pradesh State Agro Industries Development Corporation and PHD Chamber of commerce and industry on 9 July 2021 at Hotel Jehan Numa Palace Bhopal.

Addressing the representatives of the banks, the Chief Guest Shri Bharat Singh Kushwah, said that the banks should take an active part in this virtuous work because this would double the income of our farmer brothers as well as the state. And the economy of the country will also get stronger. The minister further said that the processing industry will be set up where the farmer is producing the crop and one district will produce one product If this concept is worked on, it will improve the rural economy and generate employment on the local star. He said that after Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh has received maximum number of applications regarding food processing units.

The special guest of the program, Smt. Kalpana Shrivastava, IAS, Principal Secretary, Horticulture and Food Processing, Madhya Pradesh, in her remarks, highlighted the possibilities of horticulture and food processing in the state. In the program, Commissioner Horticulture and Food Processing Madhya Pradesh Shri Manoj Kumar Agrawal and Shri Shrikant Bhanot, IAS Managing Director MP Agro explained in detail about the Prime Minister’s Formulation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises and answered the questions raised by bank representatives and industrialists regarding the scheme.

Shri Pradeep Karambelkar Chairman PHD Chamber Madhya Pradesh, informed about the work being done by PHD Chamber for horticulture and food processing industry. The program was conducted by Shri Anirudh Dubey Sr Resident Officer PHD Chamber Madhya Pradesh.
