Fifth day of PHDCCI’s International Week Highlights Trade Cooperation and Economic Growth Prospects in the Gulf region

 

The ongoing PHDCCI International Week reached its 5th day today, March 15th, at PHD House in Delhi, with a focus on INDIA – GULF DAY under the theme “Prospects for Trade Cooperation and Economic Recovery.” The day was characterized by insightful discussions aimed at fostering trade relations and economic growth between India and the Gulf countries.

H.E. Dr. Bassam Alkhatib, Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to India, stated that culture doesn’t go beyond boundaries without trade. Every country in the Gulf has a unique culture and opportunities to offer, and for neighboring countries, there is a significant chance for India to explore small, medium, and large enterprises in the sub-countries of the Gulf. He remarked that the Indian Ocean is vast, and the prospects of trade cooperation are immense. He added that India is among the very few countries that have maintained friendly relations with Syria. He further discussed the huge potential for trade between the two countries in sectors such as healthcare, infrastructure, fertilizers, and technology.

 

Mr. Naveen Seth, Deputy Secretary General, PHDCCI, expressed optimism about the outcomes of INDIA – GULF DAY, noting the collaborative efforts to enhance trade cooperation and stimulate economic growth.

The discussions held during INDIA – GULF DAY underscored the commitment of stakeholders to deepen bilateral ties and explore avenues for mutual growth. Such collaborative events play a crucial role in enhancing mutual understanding, strengthening partnerships, and paving the way for future cooperation. PHDCCI’s proactive role in organizing these discussions demonstrates its commitment to facilitating dialogue and driving economic progress across borders.
