Virtual Interactive Session with Shri Amrit Lal Meena Special Secretary Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal trade Ministry of Commerce and Industry Government of India

Shri Amrit Lal Meena Special Secretary Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade Ministry of Commerce and Industry Government of India shared his valuable insights on PM GatiShakti’s master plan. He said that this master plan covers all highways to railways and every mode of connectivity. Especially regions of the northeast are being given distinctive attention for building secure and resilient infrastructure and connectivity. The Ministry has planned high-standard projects in this direction and some of them are already in line.

New alignments in the sector are taking place. Main issue of land acquisition has been taken up on a priority basis. Framework has been prepared for the resolutions so that the hurdles can be removed from the path of success.

He also shed some light on the development taking place in inland waterways and river routes. Projects are afoot to integrate river routes to other modes of transportation. Inland waterways authority has multimodal plans for the sector as this mode is considered a very high priority area, said Shri Amrit Lal Meena.

Mr. Pradeep Multani, President,PHDCCI, congratulated Mr.Meena for the outstanding work done in the area of trade and logistics he also appreciated the Ministry for assuring the vision of PM Gatishaskti Master plan is being achieved at the right pace.
