We need to look at Budget as a Nation Building activity focused on social restructuring & making India AaatmaNirbhar: Smriti Zubin Irani, Minister of Textiles, Government of India.
The Union Budget is for all phases of the people and sectors of the economy, has paved its objective as a society and nation-building activity, deliberated Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani in Intellectual Meet for Budget 2021-22 organized at PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani while lauding the Budget announced mentioned that the Budget is binding the vision of AatmaNirbhar Bharat under the directive of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. It is for every age group and every vertical of the industry that will help in forming every dimension of the society and nation.
Talking about the focus towards sanitization, healthcare infrastructure, water availability among others, Smt. Irani shared that reforms like Ayushman Bharat Yojana; Swachh Bharat Abhiyan; National Research Foundation and, National Education Policy are dynamic steps towards self-reliant India that will benefit every dimension and level of the society.
She praised various missions inaugurated by the central government like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’s objective for providing basic hygiene and healthcare to Jal Jeevan Mission that aims towards providing clean drinking water to the rural household with an objective of universal coverage of water supply being quantified in the Union Budget.
Talking about healthcare, she lauded the Ayushman Bharat Yojana providing medical coverage to rural households and provisions of health infrastructure in the form of wellness centers, health labs, and units in the Budget.
The Union Minister praised the contribution of MSME’s and textiles industry rapid actions towards manufacturing PPE kits to being the World’s 2nd largest manufacturers for the same under the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister. She shared her views on the incorporation of successful reforms like National Education Policy and One Rank One Pension undertaken by the central government and, presented her gratitude towards the medical community for their diligent efforts during Covid-19.
Smt. Smriti Irani shared that the Budget is also focused on opening schools in the tribal areas, skill development, health care infrastructure development, and railway development. India needs to make local and have standards for global so that it prospers itself in the world economy.
Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in his presidential address congratulated the government for presenting a historic path-breaking budget and thanked the Government for considering the aspirations of all sections of the society for the improvement of standard of living and ease of doing business in the industry across the segments.
He shared that the budget has focused on six pillars, including Health and Well-Being, Physical and Financial capital and infrastructure, Innovation and Research & Development, and Minimum Government, and Maximum Governance.
He mentioned that the opening of textile parks is a one of a kind movement that will help to generate employment and increase exports. He further mentioned that increase in the healthcare infrastructure and separate allocation of funds for the vaccine will help to strengthen the healthcare system of the nation.
