Pednekar, IAS, Managing Director, RIICO COVID-19 has spread in India and it disrupted business, economy, and living of people. Rajasthan is one of the largest and most populated states in India. Through their diligent efforts, they can control to spread the spread of this pandemic in their state. PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Rajasthan Chapter, conducted an interactive session on ‘Problems in Re-Starting of industries in the present scenario of COVID-19 Lockdown’ with Mr. Ashutosh A.T. Pednekar, IAS, Managing Director, RIICO on 1st May 2020. The session witnessed a participation of more than 90 industry players and senior’ members of PHD Chamber/ all over the country/all over the world. Mr. Ashutosh A.T. Pednekar, IAS, Managing Director, RIICO, appreciated the efforts of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry to organize such an interactive webinar in these critical times and said that there are many changes have taken place in a very short time. we are in the end phase of lockdown- 2. The entire objective of lockdown is to ensure the lives of people are safe and the cycle of infection spreading slows down And I think at the national and state level, our country has largely succeeded as compared globally. We have also realized that now the priority is that the livelihoods are safe and the industry is back on track and economy is the track, said Mr. Ashutosh A.T. Pednekar. Mr. Ashutosh A.T. Pednekar said that we had to ensure that how the essential service and industry can get operational as quickly as possible. Throughout the Rajasthan, there was hardly any shortage of the essential commodity. We also made sure that the production of the industry is running and there is a minimum obstruction to it. We gave permission and passes to around 17,000 industries so far in Rajasthan. While understanding that industry is facing a tremendous challenge right now Mr. Ashutosh A.T. Pednekar discussed that the demand in the market has slowed down, logistics downfall, and labor is also an issue. At this point of uncertainly, I would say is we are come down to the end of the lockdown 2 period and we are planning our department which will be operational post the lockdown. Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, Senior Vice President, PHD Chamber of Commerce, and Industry gave a warm welcome to Mr. Ashutosh A.T. Pednekar and appreciated the valuable contribution he has made in helping and assisting to the government in every possible way during these times of crisis in the country. He also appreciated the steps taken by the Rajasthan government in implementing the systems required for lockdown is being appreciated by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi as well. Due to these measures and implementations, the affected cases in the states have minimized and the situation is under control. We highly appreciate the pro-active steps being taken under your vision. We extend our help and support to the government and your esteemed office by providing our representations on the issues and difficulties being faced by our members and industry partners, said Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal. The practical steps taken by Rajasthan Government are highly appreciated. The government has been proactive and we highly appreciate that. The major issue which we are facing right now is the issue of labor, their accommodation, and their salaries. The MSMEs are facing issues regarding their management of workers, factories, and transportation. But we are hopeful that some action will be taken and it will be resolved at the earliest, said Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal. Mr. Digvijay Dhabdiya, Chair, Rajasthan Chapter introduced Mr. Ashutosh A.T.
