PHDCCI WOMEN CAR RALLY-2019 FLAGGED OFF ON 29TH MARCH AFTERNOON

The Ceremonial Flagging off of PHDCCI’s Women Car Rally– 2019 “Wheeling the Women to Power” with approximate participation of close to 65 car participants of multiple brands happened at Chamber’s headquarter here today in New Delhi.

Among the distinguished and leading personalities that took part in the flagging off ceremony comprised Union Minister of Steel, Chaudhary Birender Singh; President, Army Wives Welfare Association, Mrs Madhulika Rawat; President, CRPF Family Welfare Association, Dr Manu Bhatnagar; Director General, Sports Authority of India, Mrs Neelam Kapur.

During the occasion of ceremonial flagging off of second PHDCCI Women Car Rally-2019 under aegis of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, India Inc. was represented by the President and Sr. Vice President of the Chamber Mr Rajeev Talwar and Mr D K Aggarwal respectively along with Chair and Co-Chairperson of Sports & Youth Affairs Committee, PHDCCI Mr Arshad Shawl and Ms Priya Hingorani among others including Secretary General, PHDCCI, Dr Mahesh Y Reddy.

Following the conclusion of ceremonial flag off of the Women Car Rally held here today, it will depart for Dehradun in the early morning of 30th of March and subsequently leave Dehradun for Chandigarh for its concluding destination on 31st of March.

In a statement issued here today, the President, PHDCCI, Mr Rajeev Talwar said, “specific aims with which the Car Rally is being held comprise to recognize the selfless efforts of women from all walks of life and multiple sections of society. The PHDCCI is the only industry association which is holding the second consecutive Women Car Rally”.

Some of its other objectives consist of awareness on menstrual hygiene, aiding the women empowerment leading to Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao as also spread breast cancer awareness through awareness campaigns en-route and boost motor sports among women.

Still other objective of the Rally consist of to showcasing the tourism and culture as also promote preferred heritage destination en-route, the car Rally is designed.
