PHDCCI condemns the violence in the tractor parade by the farmers on 26th January 2021

Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has condemned the violence and damage to the public property by the violent elements in the farm agitation, which has ashamed our dignity in the international community on the 72nd prestigious Republic Day on 26th January 2021.

While worrying about the ongoing farm agitation, President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has appealed the farmer unions to continue discussions with the Government to find out logical solution as soon as possible, so that economic activities are recovered significantly for the benefit of the people of India.

The country has addressed very diligently the pandemic situation of COVID-19, damage caused by daunting impact of COVID-19 and the decelerated economic growth rate of (-)23.9% in Q1 FY 2020-21 and (-)7.5% in Q2 FY2020-21, said Mr. Aggarwal

So going ahead, projections are in the positive trajectory for Q3 and Q4 of FY 2020-21 on the back of various reforms undertaken by the Government. At this juncture, we look forward to the early solution of farm agitation to strengthen the economic growth trajectory and to make our position significantly strong in the global economic space, said Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal.
