PHD RDF Celebrates World Water Day

PHD Rural Development Foundation (RDF) has been actively working towards water conservation including renovation of traditional water bodies and tanks, reuse of water and recharge structures, watershed development, piped drinking water and afforestation. PHDRDF is proud to have worked towards water conservation through its initiative PHDRDF Jal Sanchayan and established over 260 water harvesting structures so far in the state of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh and benefitting more than 5.0 lakh people across different geographies and generating more than 2000 lakh cubic feet of water holding capacity. Today on World Water Day, when it is globally being celebrated on raising awareness of the global water crisis, the team of PHDRDF conducted training session for farmers and villagers in Luharawas village, Mokalwas Panchayat, Neemkathana block in Sikar, Rajasthan on different techniques for water conservation and focussed on the awareness generation on saving water. With depleting groundwater water, integrated water resources management aligned with government’s framework to water use patterns with the needs and demands of different users is important. PHDRDF through its Jal Sanchayan initiative continues to work towards government mandate and align with its mission.
