Create anger-free zones: Spiritual leader tells India Inc
PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday hosted the spiritual guru BK Shivani who delivered a thought provoking discourse on Spiritual India at Mavalankar Auditorium, New Delhi.
Coming at a time when the economy was in a slowdown and the country was witnessing hateful protests, the Spiritual Leader from the Brahma Kumaris enlightened the guests on the right path to reduce stress and eliminate evils from the society.
Dr D K Aggarwal, President, PHD Chamber, while welcoming the inspiring thought leader BK Shivani, said it was in the fitness of things that the PHD Chamber invited the Spiritual Leader to guide the stressed business and industry community to overcome current challenges.
Success comes to people who are happy and peaceful. PHD Chamber is honoured and lucky to have a person of such eminence to help the society through her simple, lucid and persuasive logic-driven universal teachings of life, said Dr Aggarwal.
Mr Rakesh Gupta, Chair, Delhi & NCR Committee, PHD Chamber ,while welcoming the Spiritual leader, BK Shivani, who needed no introduction, said that if anyone wanted to be successful, they would need the spiritual guidance from Shivani Didi from time to time.
What makes her discourses very useful is her ability to break down seemingly complex issues into a language the common man understands, said Mr Gupta.
Mr. Gupta also welcomed the special guest, Shri Shahnawaz Hussain, former Union Minister and BJP National spokesperson.
The senior BJP leader, Shri Shahnawaz Hussain, thanked PHD Chamber for giving him an opportunity to hear the live discourse of BK Shivani Didi and hoped that her teachings will help calm down the hate-filled environment that had built up in the nation.
Now associated as a teacher at the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University, Shivani Didi is also an anchor of a popular TV series, Awakening with Brahma Kumaris. She is married and also runs a software business, along with her husband Vishal Verma, in Gurgaon.
Brahma Kumari Shivani, Chief Guest for the evening, addressed the gathering with her enriching discourse and urged the business and industry community to create ‘No Anger Zones’ in their respective units and offices, which will go a long way in eradicating anger from the society.
Calling out the five emotions – kaam, krodh, lobh, moh and ahankar – as the enemy of mankind, the Spiritual Leader said if the human mind was guided to shun these and become a lover of peace, much of the stress and tension in the world will evaporate.
The need of the hour was to take charge and do things within a person’s powers rather than depend and wait for someone else to solve the problems the country faced, said Shivani Didi.
In an inspiring talk on Spiritual India, she said human beings are getting suppressed under the burden of expectations and urged the people to turn into givers rather than seekers, whether it was money, love, attention, and the like.
As the number of people who are demanding and expecting is more than the number of those giving, it is changing the
equations of life, said Shivani Didi.
She urged the people to imbibe traditional values and culture that contain lessons for life which are universal.
