Shri Rajeeva Swarup, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Government of Rajasthan, appreciated PHD Chamber for organizing the interactive video conference on Problems in Re-starting of Industries in present scenario of Covid-19 lockdown. The thrust of the government right now is to bring the industries back on track with all the permissible bands and precautions to be undertaken. We need to understand that in these trying and critical times the Industry and Government today are partners, and we understand the adverse impact and the challenges faced by the industry at present and in future when they resume their activities, said Shri Swarup. Let us not live in false optimism and lets us see how are we going to re-orient or adapt to keep our industry going. The industry needs plan out to arrange for public transports to get back the labourers from the home towns and get the industry started when the due permissions are given by the state and the central government, said Shri Swarup. While asserting that the government knows that the labour is the burning issue of the industry, Shri Swarup re-assured that the government is doing every bit to resolve this at the earliest for a smooth revivial of the Indian industry. Shri Swarup, urged PHD Chamber to put forth an effective representation to the state government on the issues and challenges faced by the industry in Rajasthan State and assured that the state government will address and find solutions to the problems. Mr Sanjay Aggarwal, Senior Vice President, PHD Chamber, in his welcome remarks complemented Shri Swarup for his proactive and business friendly actions. We request the government to give relief to the industry by not making it compulsory to pay full salaries to their employees and recommend to the Central Government to direct ESI, to pay, said Mr Aggarwal. Mr Digvijay Dhabdiya, Chair, Rajasthan Chapter introduced Mr Swarup and Mr Suneel Dutt Goyal, Co-chairman Rajasthan Chapter, PHD Chamber delivered the vote of thanks.
