COVID-19 has taught that the life of every individual is equal, Shri Satish Mahana, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Department of Infrastructure and Industrial Development Uttar Pradesh

The widespread of the pandemic COVID-19 has led to a national lockdown which has resulted in the slowdown of business and economic activities. To discuss the issues and challenges faced by Industries of the State of Uttar Pradesh during the Nation-wide Lock-down resulting by the dreadful outbreak of COVID-19 and devising the best way-out to the challenges during this hour of crisis, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries, conducted an interactive session with Shri Satish Mahana, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Department of Infrastructure and Industrial Development Uttar Pradesh on 25th April 2020.

The session witnessed a participation of more than 150 industry players and senior’ members of PHD Chamber. The session was also attended by the delegates of London, Toronto and other parts of the world.

Shri Satish Mahana, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Department of Infrastructure and Industrial Development Uttar Pradesh, appreciated the efforts of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry for being on the forefront support for the government and organizing such an interactive session in such times of crisis which have been unprecedented and have caused disruptions in the economy.

Deliberating the delegates on the overview of the issues and challenges faced by Industries of the State of Uttar Pradesh during the Nationwide Lockdown, Shri Satish Mahana, discussed that while the lockdown will get over, he advised not to call workers staying in red zone hotspots for work. Showing concern towards the spread of the virus, he suggested taking all preventive and sanitization measures to post the opening of the lockdown. COVID-19 has taught us that the life of every individual is equal, said Shri Satish Mahana, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Department of Infrastructure and Industrial Development Uttar Pradesh.

The session was followed by the question and answer round were many industry members raised all their queries and challenges they are facing. Shri Satish Mahana along with his team of Shri Alok Tandon, IAS, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner (IIDC) & Chair, Noida Development Authority, Government of U.P and Shri Anil Garg, IAS, CEO, U.P State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA), Government of U.P took note of all the queries and challenges. Shri Satish Mahana assured the participants that their queries will be conveyed to the concerned ministries and forums so that they can resolve at the earliest.

Shri Satish Mahana urged PHD Chamber to submit a detailed representation of the issues and challenges faced by the industry and assured that the same will be taken up to the concerned ministries and resolved at the earliest.

Mr. Manoj Gaur, Chair, Uttar Pradesh State Chapter, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed Shri Satish Mahana, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Department of Infrastructure and Industrial Development Uttar Pradesh and acknowledge the valuable contribution he has made in helping and assisting to the government in every possible way during these times of crisis in the country.

Mr. Manoj Gaur also shared the issues and challenges faced by the industry while also suggesting relief measures and steps to ensure the smooth working of the industry in the country.

Dr. Lalit Khaitan, Mentor, Uttar Pradesh State Chapter, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed Shri Satish Mahana, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Department of Infrastructure and Industrial Development Uttar Pradesh and deliberated the issues and challenges faced by the industry. He also suggested relief measures and steps to ensure the smooth working of the industry in the country. Shri Satish Mahana assured that the suggestion given by him will be considered and taken up keeping all the safety measures of COVID – 19 in place.
