Punjab Government should exempt Tax on E vehicle
Indo Pak Trade should restart through Vahga Border
SAARC countries RBSM to take place from next PITEX
Industrialists appealed to Government of Punjab to restart Indo Pak trade as it will boost the economy of both the countries. RS Sachdeva, Chair, Punjab State Chapter, PHD Chamber and Naveen Seth, Assistant Secretary General, PHD Chamber while addressing the Press Conference organized during the 15th PITEX by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with Government of Punjab raised the demand of the industry to restart Indo Pak trade. A representation in this context shall also be submitted to Charanjit Singh Channi, Hon’ble CM, Punjab.
RS Sachdeva stated that industries and trade partners should be allowed to visit across the borders as there is huge demand of Indian products in Pakistan and vice a versa.
He said that the Government should allocate fund for the proposed Exhibition Centre at Amritsar and the Exhibition centre should be taken out of the PPP model. It is a long pending demand of the industry and the founding stone should be laid by the current government. Further he also mentioned that many state governments have waived off Road Tax on E Vehicles to promote the electronic vehicles where as Punjab Government is still charging Road Tax on E vehicles, he appealed Government of Punjab to waive off Road Tax on E Vehicles as it will help in addressing the huge concern of pollution in the state.
Naveen Seth, Assistant Secretary General, PHD Chamber said that the on an average five to six countries participate in PITEX, the Chamber will connect with Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Government of India and try to increase the participation from foreign countries in next PITEX. He stated that in 2017 a Reverse Buyer Seller meet of SAARC countries was organized successfully and PHDCCI will take it up with Ministry of Commerce, Govt of India for organising the same during PITEX 22.
