No.PR-80 May 16, 2020 New Delhi PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a “Beginners Guide to Safely Investing and Trading Cryptocurrency” with Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) New Delhi, 15th May 2020: Over the last few years, the idea of cryptocurrencies has exploded, and more people than ever have invested in currencies like Bitcoin. Most people these days have heard of cryptocurrencies. That doesn’t mean they know how to invest in them, though. Understanding the necessity to educate people about its usage and how to invest in it, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) organized an interactive webinar workshop on “Beginners Guide to Safely Investing and Trading Cryptocurrency” The key speakers in the webinar workshop were Mr. Anshum Bhambri – MS Financial Mathetics Stanford, CEO Round Labs (New York); Mr. Kiran Nagaraj – Partner, Principal Deloitte New York, and Mr. Aditya Berlia – Co-Promoter Apeejay Stya and Svran Group. The objective of the session is to guide new crypto investors so that they can better understand how blockchain networks work, and how they can safely invest in crypto assets. Mr. Anshum Bhambri – MS Financial Mathetics Stanford, CEO Round Labs (New York) gave a detailed presentation about investing in Crypto Assets like Cryptocurrency and BlockChain. He started detailed insights about its working mechanism, risk, profits, and challenges. He also gave insights about its benefits in different industries like startups and other new blooming organizations. Mr. Kiran Nagaraj – Partner, Principal Deloitte New York, explained how Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency works and how they are beneficial for the industry and good for investment. He also a global perspective about the investment of such forms of currency and the different aspects of investing in them. Everyone has a different objective to invest in these forms of currencies but its important to understand the narrative to use them for profits and earning. He emphasized that its important to understand the process of investment so that one doesn’t face negative consequences. Mr. Aditya Berlia – Co-Promoter Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, moderated the session while explaining the beneficial aspects of investing in the new form of currency such as bitcoin and cryptocurrency. He highlighted the aspect of in the wake of the recent Indian Supreme Court ruling regarding crypto, the excessive money printing by central banks across the world, and the disruption caused by Covid-19, there is renewed interest once again in diversifying investor portfolios to crypto-assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. People who are interested in Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency that it doesn’t give a single authority to anyone to own the data and take benefit of it. it is secure, everyone can access it, its more transparent and more broad-based centralized trust which is not influenced anyone said Mr. Aditya Berlia. Dr. D K Aggarwal, Vice President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in his presidential address mentioned the growing usage and importance of Cryptocurrency is one of the newest forms of currency and the kind of return these currencies have given, it is phenomenal. In India, after the legal issues sometime back, people have been using this currency lately. He raised some of the questions related to Cryptocurrency, its risk, and opportunities.
