India needs to increase exports to strengthen business from abroad

PHD Chamber organize Exporters Conclave

Amritsar 04 December: In the present situation it is necessary that India should become self-reliant in the field of exports; industries will have to prepare alternatives to achieve this.

Above statement has been given by Suvidh Shah, ITS, Joint Director, Directorate General of Foreign Trade while addressing the Exporter Conclave: 2021: Export Vision Punjab, organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Government of Punjab at the 15th PITEX.

He said that no license is required for any kind of export also there is no custom duty on any type of exports. Work is going-on on many schemes to make India self-reliant. Industrialists should try to reduce the India’s dependence on other countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Vishwa Bandhu, Deputy Director, Policy Implementation Unit, Punjab Industries Department said that special efforts are being made to ensure that the benefits of the schemes of the Punjab Government reach as many industries as possible.

P.K Bhardwaj, General Manager, NABARD, while providing information about the ongoing schemes in Punjab said that industrialists can play an important role in strengthening the economy of Punjab.

On this occasion, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, R.S Sachdeva, Chair Punjab state Chapter, Arpita Bhattacharjee, Dy.General Manager, NABARD Mukesh Sethi, Dy. GM, Punjab National Bank and many other dignitaries expressed their views. The session was moderated by Ajay Mahajan, Co Chair, Punjab State Chapter, PHD Chamber and was attended by about 100 exporters representing various industries from all over Punjab.
