Every industry needs to make a plan and strategize for post-COVID-19 revival, Shri Rajeev Arun Ekka, I.A.S, Principal Secretary of Chief Minister, Principal Secretary, Labor, Employment and Training, Principle Secretary, IPRD, Principle Secretary, Information Technology, Government of Jharkhand

Jharkhand is the 15th largest state of India and leading states in economic growth. But, due to the spread of pandemic COVID-19, Jharkhand is facing a lot of issues to control its spread in their state. To understand the problems and way forward, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries organized an interactive Webinar on Challenges and Way Forward post COVID-19 with Shri Rajeev Arun Ekka, I.A.S, Principal Secretary of Chief Minister, Principal Secretary, Labor, Employment and Training, Principle Secretary, IPRD, Principle Secretary, Information Technology, Government of Jharkhand, on 25th April 2020.

The session witnessed a participation of about 100 industry stalwarts and senior members of PHD Chamber from pan India.

Shri Rajeev Arun Ekka, I.A.S, Principal Secretary of Chief Minister, Principal Secretary, Labor, Employment and Training, Principle Secretary, IPRD, Principle Secretary, Information Technology, Government of Jharkhand, thanked PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry for being at the forefront and being supportive towards the government in these critical times. He highlighted that everyone is trying their best to cope up with their best of abilities while the country is dealing with tough times.

In such a scenario, society is the driving lifeline of our country. In this inter-connected world, when all of us are facing the pandemic COVID-19, the lockdown started on 24th March and now we have continued it further. Now, we are concerned about how we will start to live a normal life again post COVID-19, Shri Rajeev Arun Ekka.

Shri Rajeev Arun Ekka discussed the circular issued by the governor of India on 15th April that clearly says that the industries operating in the rural areas which are outside the limits of the municipal corporations and municipalities will be allowed to operate till 20th April. But I can understand that it’s easier said than done. It’s difficult for people to commute to their workplace and at the same time, it’s difficult for the industries to conduct their business activities.

Every individual industry and business operations will be varying in nature in terms of capacity, revenues, raw materials, logistics, and others. So, it’s important that every industry makes a plan and strategize itself for post-COVID-19. But at the same time, we need to follow the standard operating system issued by the government for the industry which clearly states that industries need to maintain social distancing, sanitization, safe equipment, and others, Shri Rajeev Arun Ekka.

The session was followed by the question and answer round were many industry members raised their queries regarding the challenges they are faced by them. Shri Rajeev Arun Ekka took note of all the queries and assured that they will be resolved at the earliest.

Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, Senior Vice President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries gave a warm welcome to Shri Rajeev Arun Ekka, I.A.S, Principal Secretary of Chief Minister, Principal Secretary, Labor, Employment and Training, Principle Secretary, IPRD, Principle Secretary, Information Technology, Government of Jharkhand. They also distributed food packets, sanitizers, masks, and other personal protective equipment and will continue to give back to society and are in full support in all endeavors of the government.

Jharkhand Chapter has come out a vibrant chapter for PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has significantly contributed to the development and the Chamber and has been at the forefront of supporting the government through its recommendations and suggestions.
