Energy Transitions Innovation Challenge (ENTICE) being organised to incentivize ground-breaking innovations in Power & RE Sector

 

PHDCCI organised an Interactive Session for Power & RE Start-ups on ENTICE Innovation Challenge on 16 June 2023 at PHD House, New Delhi. PHDCCI is an Industry Partner for ENTICE – Energy Transitions Innovation Challenge, an innovation platform for accelerating people-positive energy transitions. Powered by The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), ENTICE is on a mission to incentivize ground-breaking innovations at scale. It believes in fostering creativity and transforming game-changing ideas into reality.

 

The Session was addressed by Ms Neha Kumari from ENTICE Secretariat and Mr. Avishek Neogy from GEAPP.

 

Mr Sanjeev Gupta, Co-Chair, Power Committee, Chaired the Session and gave his expert inputs and guidance to Start-ups for getting funding and scaling up.

 

Ms Neha Kumari in her presentation informed that ENTICE is powered by The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), a visionary philanthropic alliance launched at COP26 by The Rockefeller Foundation, IKEA Foundation, and Bezos Earth Fund. GEAPP aims to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy by fostering innovation, collaboration, and investment in clean energy technologies. With ENTICE, GEAPP aims to create an ecosystem of innovators to scale low-cost, impactful solutions and fast-track our journey towards the SDGs.

 

Focus Areas for the Challenge are as follows –

 

1: Cost effective Energy Storage Systems

2: Effective Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) Aggregation

3: Affordable DRE Tariffs for Consumers

4: Interactive AI based Smart Metering Solutions

 

Through ENTICE, TOP 5 INNOVATORS WILL BE PROVIDED –

 

  • Series A FUNDING FOR SCALE-UP
  • Market linkages for solution deployment
  • Mentoring & expertise for market expansion

 

Mr Neogy gave his remarks and answered the queries of the participants. Mr Punit Chaudhry, Secretary, PHDCCI, moderated the Session.

 

PHDCCI has been engaged in promoting and supporting Power & RE Sector Start-ups as also innovations in EV sector through its own efforts as also its network. PHDCCI is the Programme Directorate for the Startup 20 Engagement Group under the India G20 Presidency.
