Seminar on
“Laws Governing Real Estate in India”

Real Estate Industry plays a positive role to address the issues of Urbanization which can be done by proper planning and moreover it is an engine of  the nation’s growth, which can be gauged from the fact that it is the second largest employer next only to Agriculture and its size is close to US $ 12 billion and grows at about 30% per annum. Five per cent of the country’s GDP is contributed by the housing sector. The Real Estate Industry has significant linkages with several other sectors of the economy and over 250 associated industries.  Investing in real estate in India require compliance with various laws which run into dozens, some of them more than 100 years old and some very new.  In addition to federal laws of India, there are many state laws governing real estate transactions and investment.

The objective of this seminar is to provide a forum to discuss the emerging issue relating to the Real Estate Laws, Legal issues thereto and Professional Opportunities. Keeping in view this objective, we are pleased to inform that PHD Chamber is Organizing  a one day seminar onLAWS GOVERNING REAL ESTATE IN INDIAas per  following schedule:

VENUE                       :           PHD HOUSE, NEW DELHI

The seminar will cover the following important areas:

  • Policy & Legal Issues impacting Real Estate Growth in India
  • Impact of Real Estate (Regulation of Development Bill on Real Estate Industry)
  • Land Acquisition and Compensation
  • Due Diligence for Acquiring land
  • Foreign Direct Investment

We have invited Shri Jaipal Reddy, Hon’ble Minister of Urban Development to be the CHIEF GUEST at the above seminar.   We have also requested Shri Navin Kumar, Secretary , Ministry of Urban Development to address in the inaugural session.  Besides these, the Seminar will also be addressed by Senior Govt. Officials, Advocates & Legal Experts in the various Technical Sessions.

The participation fee will be Rs. 1,000/- per participant which will cover the administrative charges, documentation, lunch, tea, etc.

Members are requested to attend the above seminar and lunch thereafter. Please confirm your participation through the enclosed ‘Nomination Form’ duly filled in to the Chamber along with a cheque / DD favoring “PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry”, at the earliest preferably before 21st September 2010
