An MOU was signed between CEBU Chamber of Commerce, Philippines and PHD Chamber

An MOU was signed between CEBU Chamber of Commerce, Philippines and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Consul Samuel L Chioson from CEBU Chamber and Mr. Krishan Kalra, Secretary General, PHD Chamber signed this MOU to enhance bilateral trade between India and Philippines. A 41 member delegation with business interest in education, tourism, gift items, trucks and parts thereof, digital signage, virtual education, green technology, computer parts, fruit juices, furniture, construction material, hotels, banks, retail business, ICT, etc. were part, while from India the members had business interest in hospitality, life sciences , gems and jewellery apart from other interests.

"The mid term bilateral trade between both the countries has already crossed the 1 Billion USD mark so far, and is going to be much higher in coming year when the FTA will come in force in January 2010", said Mr. Samuel of CEBU Chamber.
