The PHD Chamber welcomes Dr. Manmohan Singh as the new Prime Minister with his re-assuming office, PHD Chamber looks forward to the much desired political stability which would create a favourable environment for doing business. According to Mr. Satish Bagrodia, President, PHD Chamber, "the Chamber is hopeful that Dr. Manmohan Singh’s government would usher in a new wave of economic reforms and initiate policies to rev up the economy. It will also boost the investment climate and put the economy to the path of growth at a time when the economy is buffeted by the difficult economic conditions, both in the domestic and the international marketplace".

PHD Chamber recognizes that in the prevailing scenario, the government would have the onerous task of managing the economic slowdown, providing stimulus to growth momentum and yet ensuring long term sustainability of our fiscal deficit yet we are optimistic that the government would use the decisive mandate to take critical decisions pertaining to the economic management of  the country and lead the country’s inexorable march towards prosperity”, added Mr. Bagrodia
