“FDI In India from germany will not be affected” Said German Ambassador, Mr Bernd Mutzelburg at PHD Chamber

“German Foreign Direct Investment in India will not be affected, and Germany wants to be present in India as India is very important success story. The Regulatory framework of the banking system has greatly helped India in not getting affected by the financial tsunami. “said Mr Bernd Mutzelburg, German Ambassador at an interactive session with leading industrialists at PHD Chamber. He also added that the Indian banking system has restrains and needs to open up.

He added that USA will have less impact on the market and Germany will be looking out for more sustainable partners for forging ahead its development. India has strong fundamentals as India’s growth is geared by internal growth, good savings and healthy growth rate. With continuous cooperation and reform oriented approach both countries would benefit each other.

“German SME is interested in India, and what is required is focused need, good advice, long term partners in industry which would give good profits over the years”, he further added.

Answering a query on easing visa regime, the ambassador pointed out, “As Civil Servants never give you more than what you ask for, please specify in case you need a long term visa”
