MP offers an ideal business climate: State Minister
Madhya Pradesh is a major business destination for investors as it offers peaceful law and order situation, stable policies, land at reasonable price, pro-active administration, quality power supply and low-cost manpower, said Mr Kailash Vijayvargiya, Commerce & Industries Minister, Government of Madhya Pradesh. He was addressing an Interactive session on "Attracting Investments in Madhya Pradesh" organised by PHD Chamber here on Wednesday.
Urging the investors, the Minister said sectors such as mineral processing, solar energy, food processing, organic farming and tourism offer immense scope for investment. Automobile, FMCG, pharma and infrastructural projects also have tremendous investment potential in the state.
Quoting the CMIE figures, the Minister said the state has already attracted an investment of Rs 3,450 crore by 2010 and it hopes the figures would touch Rs 21,549 crore by 2011. The Government is organising Global Investors' summit on October 22-23, 2010 at Kahjuraho, the minister said.
Mr Salil Bhandari, Senior Vice-President, PHD Chamber said MP is a hidden opportunity for investors as not much have been explored there. PHD Chamber is working closely with the state government in formulating investment trend and industrial growth. He also urged the state to make the investment climate more conducive by offering hassle-free facilities.
