BJP FOR FLEXI HOURS FOR WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

BJP on Wednesday advocated the need for putting in place the culture of flexi hours in corporate sector for working women demanding that the women workforce, hired on flexi hours system should not be subjected to lower wages.

Mr. Nalin Kohli, National Spokesperson for BJP made aforesaid observations at Seminar on Promoting CSR towards Women Empowerment and Child Development here today which was organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, adding that flexi hours could ensure women empowerment as well secure safety for them.

According to Mr. Kohli flexi hours for working women are necessary to cater to the working requirements of modern times and serve their economic needs since a vast majority of such a workforce has to look after homes as well as their children. 

“The BJP was committed to ensure 33 per cent of women representations in the Parliamentary and legislative processes to ensure that the women empowerment is reached the logical conclusion and would always work for its executions”, said Mr. Kohli.

He lauded the PHD Chamber for promoting CSR towards women empowerment and child development added that other industry organizations should join hands with the Chamber to further promoted to interiors and countryside of India to make it much more inclusive.

In his welcome remarks, Mr. Sharad Jaipuria, President, PHD Chamber said that the Chamber would keep organizing such initiatives as would amount to propagation of CSR activities so that its desired objectives were obtained.
