PHD CHAMBER PRESIDENT ASKS MANAGEMENT STUDENTS TO BE DISRUPTIVE TO LAUNCH BUSINESS MODEL

President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Mahesh Gupta on Saturday counselled the students coming out of management and professionals institutions not to make chasing money as their sole dream of being entrepreneur, on the contrary the essential element of their dream should be to detect solutions with disruptive approach to serving the society first as money will follow subsequently.

“Only miseries follow when the dream of entrepreneurship becomes chasing money, therefore, I advise the students coming out of professional institutions to be disruptive in their approach and find a business module through which one can serve society and make money also”, said Dr. Gupta while addressing the XIth International Conference on “Entrepreneurship in the 21st Century” organized under aegis of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and JIMS here today.

“Practicing and professing business in modern times has become much easier as compare to business of two decades ago as during those times, those that had money in their pocket could launch any business model.  However, today the situation has so reversed as to launch any business model because banks are there, so are financial institutions, venture capitalists and private equities to support business model with disruptive ideas and technologies.  Students of modern times have to have ideas and sustained approach to set up a business.  This facility was missing in earlier times”, said Dr. Gupta calling upon the students to take advantage of the emerging facilities and come out with multiple business model as single business model in current times has a sort life cycle.

In his address, Co-founder and Director, Micromax Informatics Ltd., Mr. Rajesh Agarwal endorsed virtually what was observed by Dr. Gupta in his address and appealed to the students to aggressively chase business means and models with approach that is entirely and completely different.

Among others who were present on the occasion comprised, Director General, JIMS, Dr. Satish Seth and Advisor, PHD Chamber, Mr. C M Krishna.
