SKILL COUNCIL NEEDED WITHIN NSDC TO PROMOTE AND BRAND INDIA’S SPIRITUAL TOURISM: PHD CHAMBER

Conference on “Spiritual Tourism for Sustainable Development – India : the Land of Gods” organized here today under aegis of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) has recommended “Skill Council” to be set up under jurisdiction of National Skill Development Council (NSDC) so that the branding of spiritual pockets, locations and sites in India could be undertaken so effectively as to attract tourists for their spiritual uplift from across the globe.

“The tourists sites with potential for spiritual tourism is still a best kept secret in India as it has failed to market such spots despite the fact that they exist in abundance and therefore, the time has come when the spiritual ambassadors with their abode beyond India’s borders and even within it need to be inspired so that the world is exposed to them for their negotiations”, was the another suggestion that was mooted to promote spiritual tourism in India during the conference.

The panelists that came out with the aforesaid recommendations comprised well known classical dancer and founder President – Centre for Indian Classical Dances Dr. Sonal Mansingh as well as founder Chairman, Sjoham Babaji Missions Shri Shri 1008 Sjoham Babaji who spoke at length at the inaugural session of the conference organized by the PHD Chamber here on Thursday.
