RISKS TO REPUTATION LOSS OUGHT TO BE AVOIDED: BAJAJ AT PHD CHAMBER

Managing Director, Bajaj Finserv Limited, Mr. Sanjiv Bajaj advised corporate fraternity to observe all precautions to retain their reputation and maintain a track record of impeccable integrity to sustain their business operations and take no such risks as can sink it because once credibility is lost, it can never be rebuild.

Delivering his address at an Interactive Session on “Managing Business in Our New India” under aegis of Young Business Leaders Forum at PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Tuesday, Mr. Bajaj articulated that his group grows extra cautious to retain its brand value as a result in its two wheeler segment, exports of Bajaj motorcycles have reached 50% of its total capacity.

He reminded the audience that some leading corporations have recently suffered credibility loss by installing devices in their products, that cheated not only the shareholders of the company but lost its market size in leading economies and brought a disgrace to the company.

He cited an example of GE, extolling its values which brought it billions of investment at a time when the company was facing financial crunch purely on ground of credibility.  The corporates world over should emulate such values for retaining the credibility, he added.

The Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv Limited also added that the motto of his company is not to increase its market size, what the company strives for is the hike in its profitability and profits, retaining its core market as at times of crisis, it is the core market that comes forward to compensate for your exports losses.

On the Make in India issue, Mr. bajaj held that Make India would better be achieved if we consistently work for Make in India, praising the Prime Minister that he has been following the right economic policies that can take India forward.

The Interactive Session was presided over by the President, PHD Chamber, Mr. Alok B. Shriram and its Co-Chairperson of Young Business Leader Forum Ms. Kanika Shriram moderated the session with vote of thanks proposed by Mr. P Poddar, Member, Young Business Leaders Forum in the presence of Chamber’s Secretary General Mr. Saurabh Sanyal.
