SALMAN KHURSHID PLEADES FOR CONSERVING THE SALIENT FEATURES OF INDIA’S POLITICAL ECONOMY

Senior leader and former Minister for External Affairs Mr. Salman Khurshid on Saturday appealed to all sections of society to adhere to the salient features of Indian democracy and its constitution to keep India’s social and political fabric closely knit and neatly tied up irrespective of their social and political affiliation.

He compared India with a bouquet in which flowers of different colour and fragrance are wound up together so neatly and so closely that one variety cannot have and upper hand with other.  This is what India is and it is our duty to conserve it and such was the message that Mr. Khurshid disseminated so forcefully and with such eloquence at the concluding 109th Annual Session of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry here today that the message was well taken with chaste intention.

Mr. Khurshid offered the support of his party to the ruling government on issues of national integration, its safety, preservation of its culture and host of other such issues on which the political parties ought not disagree and come forward with a proactive approach for creation of consensus.

Among those who felicitated Mr. Khurshid on the occasion comprised the outgoing President of the PHD Chamber Mr. Sharad Jaipuria its incoming President Mr. Alok B Shriram and Sr. Vice President of the Chamber Mr. Mahesh Gupta with its Executive Director Mr. Saurabh Sanyal.
