PHDCCI has been authorized by the Government of India to issue Certificate of Origin (Non-Preferential) to Indian exporters, in accordance with Article II of the International Convention Relating to Simplification of Customs Formalities, 1923. In addition to issuing the Non Preferential Certificate of Origin, the Chamber also attests/certifies commercial documents for Export Oriented Companies and issues visa recommendation letter to member companies. Companies interested in availing the above said services are requested to refer to the below mentioned guidelines and formalities: Guidelines for Issuance of Non-Preferential Certificate of Origin

    • Companies interested in getting non-preferential certificate of origin issued from us, would first need to purchase the Blank COO Sheets from the Chamber (available in a set of 50 sheets at a payment of Rs. 100).
    • After filling up the required details in the COO sheet, the same should be signed and stamped by the authorized signatory of the company and should be accompanied by the following set of documents:
    • Letter addressed to “Secretary (International Affairs), PHD Chamber” on the company’s letter head mentioning the details of the COO to be issued.
    • Copy of invoice for which the COO is being prepared
    • Packing List of the Consignment
    • Indemnity Bond (Duly issued on a Stamp paper of Rs. 100, please note that the second party column in the stamp paper should be left as “Not Applicable”). Please refer to the link: Indemnity Bond for the matter which is to be printed on the bond. (Please do not make any kind of changes in the language on the bond matter, as any amendments may make it invalid for submission).
    • Payment of applicable fees based on the number of sets required
    • Photocopy of one full set of the COO to be issued for the Chamber’s records.

Guidelines for Attestation/Certification of Commercial Documents

The Chamber at its discretion may attest or certify certain commercial documents for Indian Companies. Kindly refer to the below-mentioned formalities to be completed for availing the services:

    • Letter addressed to “Secretary (International Affairs), PHD Chamber” on the company’s letter head mentioning the details of the documents to attested/certified.
    • One set of photocopy of the full set of documents to be attested/certified
    • Indemnity Bond (Duly issued on a Stamp paper of Rs. 100, please note that the second party column in the stamp paper should be left as “Not Applicable”).

    • Payment of applicable fees based on the number of sets of documents to be attested.

Please note that the Chamber will not attest any ID proofs or other documents of personal nature, they should strictly be commercial documents. Further the Chamber does not attest and certify End User Certificates and Free Sale Certificates which are not issued by the Government of India.

Guidelines for Issuance of Visa Recommendation Letter

The Chamber issues visa recommendation letters for the Members of the Chamber only. Non-Member companies interested in availing the services, first need to apply for the membership, once their membership is duly approved, the companies can then avail the said services Formalities to be completed for issuance of Visa Recommendation Letter:

    • Letter addressed to “Secretary (International Affairs), PHD Chamber” on the company’s letter head mentioning the details of the visa recommendation letter to be issued, including the full name, passport number, official designation of the person travelling on behalf of the Company.
    • One set of photocopy of the full visa letter to be issued.
    • Copy of the passport of the person travelling on behalf of the organisation.
    • Copy of the invitation letter issued by the concerned authority/company from the country to be traveled.
    • Indemnity Bond (Duly issued on a Stamp paper of Rs. 100, please note that the second party column in the stamp paper should be left as “Not Applicable”).     • Payment of applicable fees based on the number of sets of visa letter required.
